Another excellent weekend. I saw three films from the French Film Tour, and went to Fist.

The best film of the lot was Pot Luck (L'Auberge Espagnole). It made me want to run away and live as a student in Europe. The Man on the Train and Summer Things were also very good.

I quite like this surprisingly wide ranging (from the Archibald Prize to Louie the Fly to the quandong) 'dinkum Aussies' directory.

Multi-language reference: an excellent quick resource. Choose language/s and function/s, and it looks them up for you. Perfect if you program in a few different languages each day.

In any other council, it'd be modern art paid for with a Lottery grant. In Hackney, it's just rubbish someone dumped. I'm guessing the giant hand came from the film studio up the road. It's brought the art students and their cameras out in droves.
